April 12, 2023 – Twenty-seven-year-old Andre Smith, Painter of March Pen Road, Spanish
Town, St. Catherine has been charged with Possession of Prohibited Weapon and Unauthorized
Possession of Ammunition following an incident in his community on Friday, March 31.
Reports from the Spanish Town Police are that about 6:30 a.m., during a targeted operation, the
premises was searched; a Smith and Wesson SD 40 with a magazine containing 10 rounds was
found.
Smith was subsequently arrested and charged on Tuesday, April 11 after an interview.
He is set to appear in the St. Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, April 18.
